Mixed Salad in Delicious Dressing
Mediensalat was a very felicitous event with several very interesting lectures concerning media design, specially web design and the possibilities of the internet from very different points of view. Two examples in a nutshell: Mario (see picture) from Punapau (listen lofi | hifi ) talked about the intelligent combination of visual and audio elements which is usually disregarded by the visually fixed designers. Tobi lectured among other things about political potentials (popo.at) which opened up with the internet. Furthermore there were students from Swedish hyperisland and Austrian Dornbirn. Some nice pictures of this event can be found on greenwoodworks, videos on mediensalat. I´m happy to hear that mediensalat shall not die after this event and that the site shall become an upgraded version of the current page, i.e. a platform with postings from several authors and (planned) the possibility to directly comment them. Thanks to all participants, it was really interesting.
Mediensalat
Tomorrow I will go on my journey to Bielefeld to see mediensalat on Saturday and Sunday. Analog, not digital. On Friday there is the diploma award of these two guys (precisely my brother Tibor and his diploma fellow Christian). Congratulation again for your diploma! At last - and by the way - a fine news concerning my studies: I passed every exam this semester so there is no need for a reexamination (not even in maths and BWL which I was very unsure about). The holidays which will last until end of February can be as relaxed as I hoped them to be then.
Mixed Pixels
For their diploma my brother Tibor and his fellow student Christian will "design a day" at the FH Bielefeld (their school), the Swedish Hyperisland and the Austrian FH Vorarlberg where I will start studying on october 2nd. These three schools shall be linked with webcams, metababy - which is a page that can be edited by everyone - will also play a role. For further information visit mixpix which is their diploma diary.
From Dusk Till Dawn
These days my brother Tibor is here in Munich. His girlfriend Claudia will come next Saturday. My brother is studying for his diploma in winter at the FH-Bielefeld. On Saturday there was the usual ceremony i.e. sitting in the kitchen and talking till dawn. The next day always guarantees a headache.
