Australian East Coast - Part Seven: The Tableland

The Tableland: Cows

Ceci n´est pas l´Austriche.

The Tableland: Landscape

Nor is it Switzerland.

The Tableland: Landscape

Nor Bavaria. It´s the Tableland in Queensland, Australia. Between Mission Beach and Cairnes. With a tropical climate.

The Tableland: A Waterfall

And some really nice spots ...

The Tableland: A Waterfall

... like this one where you can swim behind the waterfalls. Free of crocodiles, hopefully.

The Tableland: Landscape

After having visited the tableland (quickly) we went back to Mission Beach again for some days. After this we left to Cairnes where I got my flight back to Melbourne. I don´t have any pictures about Cairnes because I have to say it was nice everywhere on the east coast (however a bit too much touristic and ready-made for backpackers) except Cairnes which is just a horrible accumulation of souvenir shops which offer the phantastic possibility to leave money for kangaroo-shaped key rings and toad-wallets. However, the sourrounding is really nice. After one and a half days there I arrived back in Melbourne at December 24, just right for Christmas.
