The author is Haruki Murakami and the book contains 9 short stories, beautiful like the title story, easygoing like "Familiensache", surreal like "TV-people" and horrible like "Das grüne Monster". Another short story collection to recommend is "Der Elefant verschwindet"

Yesterday´s image is no longer on this site - everybody has seen enough of it. The most important question now is how the story continues, primarily: how will the US react? At the moment, of course, one can read a lot of emotional reactions of people. However, the USA can now make big mistakes. Let´s hope they don´t react in blind retaliation strike-backs.

The last days I was visiting my brother and Miss Partykeller in their new habitation in Berlin. They live in Prenzlauer Berg which is a really, really nice place to be. Old building. High walls. Stuck. Good bars. Enviable.

While I was in Berlin I made an investment for life! I bought my first hammock. Not just any hammock as you can see in the picture, but a Columbian siesta hammock which is only available in a specialized hammock trade. Plus: an instruction sheet with invaluable hints like this one:
