Photo Overdose

I know this is complete overkill, so below is a small(ish) selection.

The Japanese countryside in early spring 2004. This is right next to the big Buddha statue in Futtsu City, Chiba Prefecture, the so-called Tokyo Bay Kannon (東京湾観音). More pictures from this trip are in the galleries Japan 2004 and Nikko 2004.

Bacharach, a more than 1000 year old town with a well preserved medieval flare on the stunning Rhine River (2004), close to the Lorelei Rock.

This is from our very first visit to New Zealand in 2005 at the Waitomo Caves. The prototype Kiwi picture.

The thermal Māori village Whakarewarewa (or Te Whakarewarewatanga - o - te - Ope - a - Waihiao) in the geothermal area of Rotorua on the North Island of New Zealand. If you ever happen to be in Rotorua I strongly recommend you to visit this beautiful and friendly living village. This was on our first trip to New Zealand in 2005, just three months before we decided to live in New Zealand.

Picton, the ferry harbour that connects the North and South Island of New Zealand. We visited Picton a lot of times when we used to live in Nelson (it's a good 2 hour drive). This picture is from our first visit when we arrived in Nelson in December 2005 and discovered the area around.
