Unplugged

I decided to add a books section to nugob.org. So far it´s just plain and simple. To be precise: it´s so simple that you´ll only find one book there at the moment. »The Comic Toolbox« by John Vorhaus (thanks Tim for this excellent tip). This section will only grow slowly because I want to offer a bit more information than just the titles.

I wonder if my menue does not become a bit too complex or, more to the point: "unreadable". The menue typo really wouldn´t win the first price (of any contest ever), but somehow it´s kind of unique. I know it´s not a question of vital importance these days but if you like just let me know if this one works or if the thing in the upper left of this page is just a graphic display error to you.

Hi Anatol

Würde sagen, ich erkenne deine Seite und deinen Stil aus (mindestens) siebzehneinhalb Webpages heraus, insofern hast du sicher Recht, wenn du zögerst, das ganze Menu wegzuhauen oder es vollständig umzubauen. Würde ich auch nicht machen. Stilistisch passt mir persönlich die Schrift nämlich ganz gut zum Seitendesign (trotz meiner Vorliebe für courier new und schwarz oder grau), daher plädiere ich dafür, sie erst einmal zu lassen. Zur Vereinfachung der Menuführung könnte ich mir dagegen vorstellen, dass wenn du "me" und "contact" zusammenfasst und evtl. den Zugang zum guestbook dorthin verbannst, dann ist für die Übersichtlichkeit schon mal einiges getan. "Archive" könnte weiter hinter, weil ins Archiv geht man eigentlich nur, wenn man was spezielles sucht (also vielleicht vor die Links setzen). Ansonsten finde ich die "books"-Sektion ziemlich gut - gedruckter Text ist halt was anderes als ein Link auf eine 404-Seite. So, jetzt fällt mir grad nicht mehr dazu ein, aber ich bin ja auch kein Fachmann... Ach ja und: Poste doch mal wieder was feines, sonst haben wir ja gar nix mehr zum lesen hier. :)
