Time Out
That´s the »Lounge« which is located quite central in the city. Prices are moderate, maybe that´s the reason why it is a well-visited students location. It´s not a secret hot tip, that´s for sure, but a nice bar/club/restaurant to go to.
By the way, it´s true that Aussies usually define themselves by the beer they drink. This is their personal local patriotism. I would advise against the most known beer from Oz: Fosters. Here, it´s very common to drink Victoria Bitter, short »VB«, but as I said, that´s the local passion. It might not be a good idea to order a VB in the Northern Territory. As I am here as a student I will study some other beer labels, too. Highly academical, I promise.
